This is like "the chicken or the egg" - There is no possible valid answer. You guys can argue for the rest of your life about it and you still won't be able to come to a proper, factual conclusion.
Let's use Bobby as an example. Bobby believes that he DOES have free will, as he can do whatever he wants. He tells himself that if he really wanted, he could go and kill himself at any given time.
Does Bobby have free will? I guess you could say that, but if you were to bring in the element of fate, things changed. Although he seemingly can kill himself whenever HE decides to, who are we to say that he wasn't DESTINED to day at that time, completely unknowing?
As I said, there is no correct answer.
One day, your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure it's worth watching.

I agree with this, you can not control fate unlike how you can control the choices you make. My my opinion, fate is already determined by GOD. Just like we can't choose how we are born, nor can our MOM, but they can make choices & try to prevent certain conditions.

I'm don't really like this topic because I don't have much to say about it lol
We clearly have free will and the ability to do as we please with our lives. But on the other hand, who knows if how we end up is pre-determined? I guess it's possible...I believe that anything is possible, literally. I doubt anyone will ever find out the answer to this so I don't bother worrying about it.

Well yea next week should seem a little better. Hopefully, we need a really good topic that has a lot of controversy. I was thinking about doing the topic of abortion. Should we be pro-life or pro-choice. Its really hot topic lately, but i am still open to suggestions.

What does that make Fate for people who don't believe in God? That's why you can't reference it to religion that well.
I already have a couple good ideas for the next one as well. How do we decide when the discussion/debate is finished? or are they just neverending for people to express their insight, and intelligence?
If you want to hear about my next ideas for a debate. How about the Illuminati, 2012, etc.. The only thing I don't like about people discussing 2012 is the fact that there's lots of people with closed minds, just because it's been predicted before. It's like the boy who cried wolf. How can you be assured that it won't happen just because it didn't before? People need to open their minds to new ideas and discussions to get a better understanding about what they think they know and believe in.

Well everything has to come from something to me, for those who don't believe in GOD, might not as well believe in fate.

Who said fate is related to God at all? That doesn't mean that it has to come from God, if it has to come from something. Religion isn't used in debates to prove a point. Fate could be anything though.
Code: Fate: something that unavoidably befalls a person

I like everything in this sentence but one thing. Religion is used in debates to prove a point. Pretty much every debate has something to do with religion or at least i know i can pull religion into almost any debate.

Debating about religion is common, but that has nothing to do with using religion to prove a point. People may use it in debates, but thats just for an added effect for those who have a religion. Just like in government speeches (George Bush's favorite method) mentioning God, and the whole "In God we Trust." That's patriotic to make people have higher beliefs but that isn't used to prove a point or make them join your side.
Religion is debatable because they are all made up by someone. They had to have come from somewhere didn't they? Some people need a faith to make sense of life. There's diversity in religions which creates conflicts, and thus the debates come into play. The more religious people tend to base their life upon their faith, and debate with anyone as to why they should be that religion or debate things with the idea of their religion because it's habit. It doesn't prove things though.

Agnostic is a religion, based on what this religion is it is not made by man. So not all religions " come from some were" as this religion has always been here and always will
