Maybe you could try working out or playing some sports if you don't already?
That should help you build back up your self-confidence.

I'm thinking about starting to work out a little. Right now I'm just a twig...I guess you guys are right, thanks for the help.

Your thoughts on this Topic are the first barrier you need overcome...
You don't need a Girlfriend to enjoy the moments of your life, create situations that suit your needs for happiness and explore the possibilities of the life as a "single".
If a girlfriend helps you find confidence, then you should really think about your own views of yourself, overcome your depression with logic... There is absolutely no logical reason for you, nor any other human, to be depressed for what ever reason.

Don't worry, I'm sure once you start working out girls will actually give you the time of day to say no instead of giving you a 6 digit phone number and walking away before you get to realize how sad you are.
