It can be a few things.
1. your memory is corrupted.
2. your CD/DVD player has a flaw or something in that nature.

If you could give us the STOP code the blue screen gives i can help you better.
it can also be the HDD but i highly doubt it.

Just write down the long code provided at the end of each
dead screen(blue screen) which looks like :
00x1100000x0000078x00000.... and put it in google search
textbar and click search.
google provide you many solutions for that related to your
specified error.
