I have used some of these before and thought they were free and didn't expire, but all of them expire and tell me to buy them.
How can I possibly get around this?
Quite a nice collection of Anti-virus protection which you've listed here, I've used most of these for testing purposes on my Virtual Machine.

Thanks for this post. This are the most popular and antivirus providers. But I guess to define the best antivirus software for people to download depends pretty much on the user and the machine. What I mean with this is that there are a certain categories of user, that need different types of anvitirus. I think when it comes to online protection of data and files against viruses, spyware and malware, It's really important that people learn about how to compare and indentify which one is the best anvitirus software according to their particular needs. For example: If you have a slow machine fulled of a bunch of data (file, photos, documents) you probably need a lighter antivirus. I use ZenOK free antivirus for example, because I have a slow pc and this one hardly uses any resources. So it works fine for me. but if your machine is fast and you know about AV software you can have another software if you want. Remember there are a lot of malware sites that can infect your computer with a lot of viruses and collect your data and files using spyware tools. and It's hard to get rid of this infections where they're already running in your computer. I recommend you to keep looking on the web for tutorials and reviews and what people have to say about free antivirus.

I can stand by MSE. While my full system scan took close to 10 hours (yeah, I know it took forever), it did pick up on some malware that even my Norton Security didn't in its full scan.
As said it's free and there's nothing to lose, so at least give it a try. There's a quick-scan option available also if you don't feel like waiting 10 hours haha.
