They just look so different

That's because they are gaming website's so the theme will obviously be different to here.
I wouldn't want either of those theme, they don't look nice and wouldn't suit on a forum like this.

I don't have any trouble with the current theme. You are habitual of dark black themes.

The skin looks fine from my end though, the colors suit the contrast and the layout of the forum quite well.

I think the theme we have now is fine. I know it might seem boring in comparison to other forums out there but at least with this theme everything goes well together; there are no colour clashes and after long periods of use you don't run the risk of eye strain.

We also have the option to choose from 4 themes in total (each with a different colour of text):

• Blue
  
• Green
  
• Orange
  
• Yellow

For those that don't know how to change, go here, then navigate to Other Options and choose a theme from the Board Style drop down list.

They were examples. Everything there pops, but everything here seems to be flat and boring.

I agree the theme isn't BAD, but it's old. And thanks for letting me know.

I think the skin is great, but that's probably because I just registered. If I had to look at the same theme for a long period of time, I am sure I would feel the same. Anyway, it's not up to us in regards to whether or not we get a new theme. Only time will tell.

I think this skin is fine, i wouldn't really like having a really flashy one because that makes you concentrate more on the theme then the content of the forum.

I like darker themes myself but even a darker colored green theme would be better, the green background looks to bland imo.
