Would you say that Linux runs games through Wine faster than in Windows? Also can Linux run Ventrilo? Is there a distro specifically for gaming (windows games)?

wine is alright for gaming but Cedega is alot better if you can get it cracked and working.

I can't get games to run smoothly with wine. Like GTA San Andreas. It's lagging way too much.

I tried COD 4 once. My Linux driver doesn't support it Sad ( Well, gave me a 3D error.)

If you want to game Linux is a bad choice, stick with Windows on this one.

I guess I might have to triple boot then haha. Windows Vista, Linux (Mint I guess?) and Windows XP.

I'd recommend just dual booting mint/windows 7.

That's what I do, anyways. Windows 7 rocks, and you're going to have to get it eventually. Big Grin

I would switch to Windows 7 but is there a way that I can just migrate all my stuff from Vista to W7? I don't want to have to re-install all my stuff. I only have a dual core with 3GB of RAM too... is that good enough to run Win7 decently and be worth it to switch?
