• Asked past question's of things you remember (Age/Name) To see if she remembers 2.
• Asked if she remembers stuff about you (Don't make to obvious).

Thos are some simple things you could have done to assured it was a girl.

it should be blurred because it could potentially ruin his friendship with her if random people on here who play rs added her and started speaking with her saying they know him and whatnot.
