I'd say the best paid anti-virus is Avast.
Although a lot of them have high detection rates as is. I feel that that avast doesn't hog too much memory.

I would hve to say that nod32 and kasoersky are the beat paid anti viruses. They are cheap fast and efficient and do not slow your computer dOwn

good computer knowledge is the best defence i would say, that and some good free AV/scaners should be enough
