I've been in the same situation and I just kinda stayed out of it. Granted. My friend and I didn't talk for the better part of a year but we are great mates again and I am more careful with him when it comes to girls.

If he knew how you guys felt about each other then obviously there are 2 things going on

1.He doesn't respect you enough to break it.
2.He just doesn't care

Tell him straight up, That she is your future wife and he should back off..

No. You're best friend is in the wrong by doing something like that. Especially if he knew how much she meant to you. Although it's not right to ruin their relationship if SHE loves him, you can still try to get her back :p
