What is the point of minecraft? i've seen videos and all it looks like is people running around with terrible gfx hitting things with a pickaxe...sorry i might be missing some main factors. remember i have never played it before.

There isn't much of a point if you haven't got an Alpha account which you must pay for. It's pretty cheep though, and it's an addictive game once you actually sit down and play it for real!

can you explain what you do? can you beat it? what? i don't see how that can be addicting but i might be mistaken.

There are several different modes, but the mode I like the most is called survival. You must collect resources to build a shelter to survive from the monsters that will spawn in the dark of night.

Its a fun, addictive game. Graphics aren't the main focus as it is still in the Alpha stage.
