I just leave NIS running most of the time, and I do a weekly MBAM Scan.

There is no 'best' - all such progs are only as good as the last update. Avast updates daily, it is free, it is excellent.

Forget it and get on with your life.

Avg Full Version. with the firewall. Scan every day on this computer. Other is every 3 days to a week.
Windows Defender
SuperAntiSpyware
CCleaner - not too much, every month or so.

Not a lot but it works for me. Only have had 1 virus with this computer and owned it for around 4 - 6 months so far. Virus was taken out in a day.
