I might not graduate for a stupid reason.
#1
Let me start off by saying it's not because I am lazy, it's because I'm gifted.

I'm extremely intelligent, and that's what bites me in the ass, I've never done homework because I score high on every test, I don't even have to read the information to know the answers 80% of the time.

I've already passed my graduation tests, OGT's they call them here, and you get 3 years to take them, I passed them the first time, and it took me an average of 30 minutes to 45 minutes a test, and I passed with advanced scores in all of the subjects.

Due to me being bored in class, I would often draw, write, or other things that led me to fighting with teachers over what I was supposed to be doing, even though I had proven to them I had the work done, they still wouldn't let me just relax and draw or whatever, they accused me of cheating, copying the answers, etc because I had done the papers so fast.

I got put into homeschooling because during the beginning of the day, we are allowed to listen to iPod's until the second bell, the teacher had tried telling me to take mine out, despite the fact others were listening to theirs, and I told him no, I didn't have to because the second bell hadn't rang yet, he got mouthy with me and I said "Whatever...", and he told me to go to the principals office with him, so I did, and along the way there, he said, "You're lucky I'm in a good mood today...", and I said, "Why, what would you of done, hit me?", to which he replied, "Might of...".

This made me ENRAGED, I said "Do it then, don't be afraid, just freakin do it.", and he told the principal I had threatened him, and I got put into the homeschooling thing.

I have no problems doing it, it's just too easy, I've tried honors classes, I've tried everything, and it just bores me mindless, which leads me to getting nothing done, I'll sit down and do a lesson or two, and I'll get bored and just quit doing it all together.

Even college classes bore me, I don't know what the hell to do. ><

tl;dr version, I'm that kid sitting in class listening to Shostakovich and reading the dictionary. ><

Just hang in there until you get to college. Taking college classes in high school is unlike actually attending a university. I was the type of kid that also drew, read novels, or slept in high school but still performed with top marks. All I had to do was sit there and I'd still absorb all the material.

College was a completely different story for me, and I have a feeling it may be the same for you as well. You'll find out whether you truly have a desire for knowledge or not in college. No matter how gifted you may be, good marks in college do not come without effort. Many times it may actually be harder for those that made it effortlessly through high school because they have not developed proper studying habits.

It's just about playing the game others want you to play. I don't know how thing will works out for you, but I hope you get to graduate. Good luck!

You listen to Shostakovich? <3

Seriously, however, the challenge you have is to learn discipline, self-control and cooperation within society. Intelligence is dangerous without a focus, with which to use that intelligence. There are also considerations of ethics and responsibility which even the wisest of people struggle with.

I also agree with this:

You just need to hang in there like everyone else says. I never studied for anything in Highschool, just coasted right through with good grades. You just need to focus.

Just hang in there. After you graduate, just go to college, pass the test, then you can get a job doing something you love.
