I don't like it very much, looks a bit plain, So, based on the "Plain" factor of it i'd give it 2/10.

Yeah I think it's a good idea thought it needs bit more graphic updates.
And it's hard to get memebers because your subject is for Slackers...
Some of them may be to lazy to even register....

slackers = soft lazy hackers. could be a niche. Well the header does look a bit plain, make the letters stand out. Do something nice with the font. 3D+reflections and all that. Starting a forum can be a pain in the ass! ;)
