North Korea [Did you know?]
#1
Alright recently I watched a documentary on North Korea by National Geographic and it's absolutely amazing. I want to visit that country just because it's damn near impossible for an American to get in.. Even harder to get out.

North Korea -
  • *There are currently no Americans in North Korea.
*North Korea, as an isolated country, has no contact with any other country besides South Korea. Even then it's through one phone on one line that can't call anywhere else but the other phone. 2 cups and a string.
*The only books published in North Korea are by Kim Il Sung
*There are no newspapers from any other country in North Korea
*There is no T.V. from any other country.
*The entire border is fenced or watched by the military.
*North Korea REFUSES to import anything. (Unless it's the general importing a limo or something) They rather starve than ask for help.
*They look at the general as a god. A book was written and published claiming he does not piss or crap. He can also control the weather. What?
*North Koreans are 8 inches shorter and 22 pounds lighter at the age of 7 due to malnutrition. Again refusing to ask for help.
That's all I have for now.. Or at least all that I can remember. Does anyone have anything else? I'm falling in love with that place because it just seems unreal!

--Edit--
  • *The general does no wrong in their eyes. Ever.
*Anything positive that is to happen is thanks to the general.
*Anything negative is blamed on other countries including America. (A power outage is blamed on America)
*Most residents don't even know man has been to the moon.

It is actually possible to visit.. Just damn near impossible because you require a permit and you would be escorted everywhere you went by two government officials.
They would also take your cell phone from you. You can't contact the outside world either.

I'd like to visit to. It's a very unique country and like you say they refuse for help. Hence why they are currently poor.
Nearly four years and don't regret a single day.
