Yes that's right all the AV are crap.

Personally I have tried and almost of them are so hassle, they annoy you as fudge out.

So far I didn't have any serious problem, and still yet no AV for almost 3 years.

Yes but they dont kill everything, supposedly your brain can kill everything if you have right tool and just simple common sense.

But anyway, Avira kills the most crypted files and many people use it.

that "most" still don't help me.

As begin network administrator, I get alot of files, pictures, stuffs everyday.

But after reading how people hack, I use my hacking knowledge to protect myself.

So basically, like i said its yourself, far best AV.

The antivirus i have always use has AVG for me it is really good.

I used to like McAfee but after using Kaspersky i can say its the best AV , If you are updating Kaspersky everyday then you are almost secure .

Anything that's light on resources is good enough, just so it can detect pretty much 99% of what everything else can without using much... the only effective AV feature is heuristics analysis, prompting for your permission whenever a file tries to do something malware-like such as adding itself to startup for example. Everything else can be bypassed way too easily.

I think that AviraAnti Virus is perfect for free.

i use linux and general knowledge. virus is not on my agenda.
