I'm American and sometiems I have trouble understanding North-Eastern accents. What's really funny, is some people have trouble understanding my Texas drawl.

I know what you mean. Especially people from Boston or New Jersey. And I don't understand that, either. I have European friends who are like, "I can't understand people with Southern accents." I suppose they just haven't had exposure to them, as we haven't to northeastern accents. Well, I haven't; the only other state I've been to is Texas.

Well I don't have any problems understanding spoken english, but for some reason I hate it when people speak with British accents.
And I freaking love the Irish accent. It's just sometimes I have a problem realising that a person is speaking to me on english, because I speak few languages fluent without accent, and I simply start answering in the language that's first on my mind. Sometimes it's funny but in most cases people are like wtf.

I don't generally have any trouble with American accents, I suppose Australian accents aren't that different. Sometimes I wonder how you guys get phrases mixed up, for example I hear Americans say "I could care less" when they mean "I could't care less".
