I received a death threat via text from a number I do not recognise, but has my area code. None of my friends recognise it either. I'm 15 and in the US. What shall I do?

It depends how you are. I recently emailed the police about someone threating to beat me up over facebook. He currently has no access to the internet until next year. (He may be even getting charged since this is his 3rd offense). Text him back, and say, "I think you have the wrong number." Never insult back. If they know who you are and threaten again. Call the cops, and sit back and enjoy.

It depends, was it like "I wilz kill youz!!11!" In that case, just leave it. However if it was more serious, like a "Adult" threat involving a serious issue (Eg. your sexuality) Then you should go to your parents + the police.
