Well as a host it's a little different for you. Someone would complain to you, and you notify the client. The client would then either remove the content for file a counter claim, If they file a counter claim you need irrefutable proof from the original complainant that it's infringement. Otherwise, legally you don't have to do anything with the client. Most hosts just terminate anyway because they don't know the law since most are one man shops (probably like what you do). You don't have to take action without irrefutable proof, pretty much the same standard as the court. And most courts will only take registered copyrights as irrefutable proof.
