Well I am looking into changing my pc theme. currently reformatted not to long ago, and i am tired of this boring windows xp look. I am sure many of you have noticed in the movies. tv shows. etc...
I want something that is interesting, more along the line of when i open a cmd or execute a program etc, i want it to start as the status bar then display the image going down quickly, if that doesn't make since then help me find a decent program for creating xp themes. etc.

I don't know about a program to make one but google search Shiftie Black, thats a great theme for XP and Vista. Maybe you should try Linux if you like doing things via command line....

Hello;
Tim is correct. Linux is a very nice OS if you wish to get away from the Microsoft genre. And I personally recommend it.

I believe it is an operating system, it is like Wubi I think where it lets you easily install and uninstall the OS through Windows. If it is like Wubi though it will use a virtual partition so if you use a FAT 32 file system all your linux files will not be able to exceed 4gb.

If you're after a different theme just hit up something like Stardock. If you want something completely different go with a distro of Linux. Linux Mint has got to be one of my best looking OS I have ever used.
