Damn it, what the hell is wrong with parents these days? Damn, how hard is it to hide your gun well?! Especially with two kids, bloody hell. This sort of stuff gets me so mad it's unbelievable, she could have kept her kid alive with a little bit more damn consideration & thought.
War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

You can't blame her for having a gun or leaving it outside of a locked cabinet, but they're 3 and 4 years old, put it on top of a cabinet and problem solved.

Parents should be aware of this. Why did she left gun at such place where the kid get that to shoot the little girl. They both were kids they didn't knew what they were doing. But IMO this is all mistake of the parents who didn't hide the gun from children.

Depending on what type of weapon this is, I'm guessing a pistol, but still, if it's left out, safety should have at LEAST been on, and the gun not cocked if it was semi auto, if it was a revolver, unless it's cocked, it usually takes a lot of force to pull the trigger back because it has to pencil it first. Unless the child knew how to pencil it, but still.

Leaving a loaded gun on the counter with children, this was totally avoidable, instead a horrible thing happened and I am willing to be this family will never be the same. I don't mean to preach but I just want to make sure this doesn't happen to any of the members on SF. Hide weapons from children or anyone who could misuse them, and don't keep live rounds in the gun.
