The same BSOD?

GAH, I didn't pay attention. I'm so used to it now, I just look away in disappointment.

It's fine. :p The BSODs are caused by the SP1 update. And because you are lucky, it came just in time - with a rogue infection. Are you done with the Avira scan?
Avira scan? I don't recall you asking for one. Would you like one before/after the GMER scan?
Also, I can't disable Avira to run GMER. The operation could not be completed. Access denied. Also, the .bat file failed.

Because you are now in normal mode, I assume. Just close the umbrella icon.

There's no option to.
Anyways, it's getting really late. I have to get up in six hours for church. We'll continue this another time. Again, thank you for your help Quintus. I can not imagine how much time and effort you have put in towards helping me. I appreciate it greatly. Hopefully we can conquer this infection.

Just make you don't connect it to the Internet while you're not monitoring it. You're welcome.

Monitoring what?

The computer. Unless you are in front of it, don't connect it to the Internet.
