What do you think about Alien Ware computers?

I like Alien Ware, but the price is insane.
Me and my friend are thinking of buying some alien ware (or similar) parts off Ebay or something and making the computer ourselves. Should be a lot cheaper, and maybe we can add in some mods ^-^

if there's something i like in alienware, its their cases, specially their gaming cases(dont know if they have casual pc case though), everything for me is nonsense,..

1st, you can build your own with the same specs and less money
2nd, it feels good to build and see your own rig running at your side
3rd, building your own means you have skills to do it,.
4th, you can help others if you know how to build^_^,.

yeah buliding it yourself is alot better, i personally think it's over priced, for that money, i can get a sick gaming pc

They're just an offshoot company from a larger company. And all you get is the brand name, you can get better computers for MUCH cheaper.

It's just like Apple, you're paying for the name and looks. Alienware's are damn sexy though, I'd just buy the case however.

No, it's not just like Apple. Apple computers have 100% compatibility with OS X. You can only get OS X on a non-Apple computer by having special hardware, and by breaking Apple's EULA. There're many tools used by professionals that are only available on OS X, such as Final Cut Pro.
