Mine is also so slow but it's working good now. i have just installed tuneup utilities 2011 and disables index function, done registry and hdd defragment , and disables some softwares from startup..

If you are determined to use Windows, you may want to look into CCleaner and Glary Utilities. I have found that these two help to optimize system performance on Windows machines.
