Aliens are way cooler than demons Oui Now for real - as far as i know this thing is very old - people have been seeing those things like since forever... there is a legend about some thing (forgot the name) that women in African villages sometimes see on their chest while they are sleeping. I mean they wake up and it's there and they can't move. They put bricks wrapped in newspapers on the 4 corners of the bed, believing that will stop the thing from coming. And that legend is much older than Hollywood, movies and stuff... so I guess people started seeing their nightmares in a different way - first it was demons, now its aliens. Im more inclined to believe in the existence of parallel worlds and that people sometimes take a glimpse in the room next to theirs, so to say, and that freaks them out. And to the guys who see the scary things - i think this is your guardian - so the scarier it is the better for you. And IDK if i should share that thing here but oh well... since in that topic there are peeps with similar experiences why not. So... some time ago I was very very interested in the occult - i was reading books on the topic all the time, sites, etc. I was kinda addicted to that thing and nothing else interested me. So one day I read in a site about gazing balls and how they could develop yur astral vision.. and yes.. i bought a little transparent gazing ball. I know its girlish but i couldn't resist. So i sit there, gazing in the thing, waiting to see something more than reflections.. and then in the ball a figure started to took shape - it was like looking in an abstract picture, trying to destinguish shapes. So the figure was just next to me, gazing in the ball along with me... it looked shorter than me, hunchbacked, with shabby beije clothes and a hood. It was staring in the ball with excactly the same interest as i did. I was shocked (can't find a better word) and I might had shouted, i don't remember. Than it started to feel funny cuz I felt the thing was as much interested in the ball as I was, and i had the feeling it's been next to me all the time - i just discovered its existence. I didn't feel it to be terrified as I was - it was just standing there. Maybe everyone has one of those things idk... and maybe some people who are more sensitive start to feel them and get paranoid that they are being followed and stuff.

Wow! I wouldn't want to experience that.

IMO there are probably aliens but I doubt they would be much more advanced than us and everything else is just psychological.

+1 There is no reason to believe that aliens are super-smart or something.

Why do you doubt there intelligence tim? If they are real they are superior in knowledge to us. Think about how far they more then likely are from us. They would have to be advanced enough to fly(jump) in space. As they do in startrech and starwars. Jump in space. Maybe they can to. Thats the best way scientists hypothesize they got here. And the theory fits.

There was a small book issued by a local newspaper. it is from a local psychick, clairvoyant or whatever they call them, according to him aliens have been here on Earth since the dawn of our civilazation, so you can't actually call them extraterestrials ..cuz they don't come form outer space ... they created us as an experiment and we are a resemblance to their race... they were created by a higher race as well.. they "give" us diseases and wars(!) to see how we coop with them ... i mean they don't infect us on purpose .. it's hard to translate it... so in other words they are not gods but this doesn't mean we have to kill 'em all Smile the thing about the wars really amazed me. in the theory of that clairvoyant those aliens are using us, so to say, to run simulations which help them in their development, and ours as well.. my personal opinion is that's the reason for all the late PC games like WoW and the like - simulating war conditions better and better so they don't have to put us into a real war. He claims that the aliens critic us hardly on our attitude towards nature and can't understand why humans use artificial make-up and other artificial things in our life - they find it unnatural. It was an interesting book, if not else Smile

I have heard of these types of theories. Theologists and scientist look at this as a possibility as to the creation of human life. That and the big bang theory, Which is a rational ideology.

(I would constantly try to rock back and forth as hard I could until eventually my legs would slightly move, and then I could move eventually)

I found this on Wikipedia:
I think this is absolutely true. I ALWAYS saw extremely crazy things when I was paralyzed (which was almost every other night). I recall thinking: I've been picked up, flipped, and dropped; my bed being replaced by a giant mushroom; my window blinds floating erect and then shooting across the room and into the wall; the plants outside my window coming to life and trying to get into my room; my ceiling fan blades stretching and coming towards me; a face appearing in my ceiling and screaming; a gigantic Bionicle in my room charging at me with a spear; my toy robot dog Tekno climbing on walls; and probably more I don't remember anymore.

It was so bad that eventually I was afraid to sleep. I dreaded bed time. I would try to stay up all night and never fall asleep. And I think it's left an effect on me, because I have butterflies in my stomach just remembering this stuff... Unsure

EDIT: I just remembered how they stopped. Around when I was 10 or 11, I remember I prayed to God for about half an hour begging him to take the dreams away. (I don't know whether or not they were dreams, or whether or not this was an entirely mental thing) I didn't want to deal with being afraid of sleeping anymore, and ever since then I really haven't had any dreams. There's still occasional paralysis, and of course the normal nightmares, but I haven't had any hallucinations since then. When I was 13 I started practicing lucid dreaming, and I got pretty good until I just forgot about it. Nothing else interesting since then.

What is a demon? It can be defined in various ways and each person may have a different meaning. Also what harm does it do for a person to believe in the Christian demonic demon from hell? If they are semi-sane and don't hurt other people they can believe whatever they want imho. I would just nod my head at the person.
