Extraordinary | MyBB Theme [COMPLETED]
#21
Here we go. Change the following.

- Don't use straight black ever. Your forum uses too much #000. On/Off icons are crap. That grey crosshaired effect you've used is crap. The header's crap. The logo's crap. Fix those and you'll be off to a good start. Smile

How can I better the header? Also, why in the world would the logo matter? It's for a theme, not a forum, that will be for an example. What do you mean by grey haired cross-haired effect? In addition, the forum wouldn't look good it I was to make it a lighter grey, IMO that will just look stupid. Going to try it now though.

EDIT: I've changed it to a dark grey, and I actually like it more.

Completely changed the colours now, thinking of renaming it to "Greys Anatomy".

Pretty much redone all the colours, I've still got some tweaking to within the forum itself, but I think I've finally got the index done.

Sorry to be so negative but I still think it looks really ugly. The categories look far too dark, and creates a huge contrast with the background. You don't want too much contrast with a theme, you want the colours to blend nicely together, rather than standing out like a sore thumb.
Darken the background so that it's similar (but not the same), as the categories.
Remove the horrible black stroke around the container.
Get a different pattern for the background. (That one is overused).
Remove the white inline from the category area, as that's also causing a lot of colour contrast.
And please get rid of those damn icons lol.

The icons/banner will be the very last thing that I will do. I will change everything else you mentioned now, but what do you mean by "white inline"?

The inner white stroke going along the category area.

Ah, should I make it a bit darker?

What do you think now? I even attempted a better logo.
