$42 on a keyboard? Use a default one, it works just as well.

As for your mouse, I strongly recommend the Microsoft IntelliMouse. I, along with many of my close buddies, own this mouse and it is great. If you would like to see more about this mouse against others, check out the following thread:

i will more then likely use my windows disk that has 1 more use available if i cant get it to work ill use one of my multiple Linux OS disks.

and i just like that keyboard Deltron , but i will def check out the mouse.

Is that XP or 7?
Logitech is the way to go for mice. They are expensive though and made mainly for gaming so I supose they wouldn't be that useful for you.
The mouse Delton recommended is good for your use and fairly cheap, he seems to know his stuff.

7, my old desktop that got f'ed up is the only thing i ever had XP on.

Well I would recommend XP if you did a lot of coding as coding in XP is much faster and the compatibility is a major plus over 7.
Though you said only little coding so yeah windows 7 would be better for you.
I personally love windows 7, didn't at the very start though.
