K i have had this problem before, But just to be sure explain your problem a little more as in,

does any browser work?

Which programs are able to access the net?

When did this problem first occur? Be specific.

1.Every browser except mozilla [even prtable mozilla is not working]

2.Every im messenger, everything except mozilla.

3.2-3 days back it asked for allow access to net for a application avgsnx i thought this is avg and thus has no resemblamce with firefox ,so i dissallowed it bcoz i didnt wanted to update my av.but after that i got that problem
