I'm no fan of IE, but it is only when you install plugins and extensions to FF that it becomes more "powerful".
Well, I think that's the way it was INTENDED, DrPoodle. And it's one of the things that I like about FF. With IE, Microsoft decides what extensions you will have and won't have and you can either like it or lump it. If there's a feature in IE that you don't want, it's just too bad. You're stuck with it. If there's a feature that you want that isn't there, again, it's just too bad. With FF, if there's a feature that you want, just ADD it.
