Hey guys,
Two issues I'm having with this Dell L400 I'm rebuilding/upgrading.
Firstly, the fan is ungodly loud and annoying, any tips for quieting this down?
Secondly the CMOS battery Clip is broken/disconnected and therefore the BIOS settings and clock aren't saved and reset every boot, which is a bit more annoying. Now the system doesn't have a regular battery yet nor does it have an OS (it will in the next couple days - as the parts come in).
If anyone has ideas on how to reconnect it (connected with 2 pins - Solder?) and/or quiet down the fan please don't hesitate!
