They're both extremely different games that have too different of play-styles to compare. But, I will try to explain why I feel Battlefield: Bad Company 2 takes the cake.
If you want to snipe, actually snipe, not quickscope, play BF:BC2, not MW2. The recon class's versatility lies not only in long range shooting, but in spotting.
You will need to not focus on killing sprees, K ratio, or making your e-peen bigger, you will need to work as a team, with your team. This gamestyle is complete opposite of Modern Warfare 2. So, if you like to run and gun, improve K, and quickscope, go with MW2. Otherwise, you should play BF:BC2.
That is just my interpretation, and is probably only valid to myself.
