Or if your uni offers one then an Engineering degree majoring in software would be even better. You will cover the same content as computer science plus you will learn general engineering skills and you also have the advantage of an Engineering degree to your name.
A very sage person once said to me that an engineering degree is the most useful piece of paper you can own ;)
