Do I need it? Well it sure would be nice to have.. My specs would go up a lot but then again it could not work. It only costs 50$ but what would I do with it if it didnt work?

Exactly. Specs really aren't as important as everyone makes it seem. I've used to play games like WoW on a Dimensions 3000 with the integrated graphics and it ran like a dream. (Before anyone calls me a nerd I only played during that first free month. )
