Regarding old people, I agree completely. If a person's life if practically over, and they know it, they should have the right to authorise euthanasia to be performed on them. I don't understand how it's unethical. Is performing against one's will "unethical"? If there's absolutely no chance that said person will recover from his or her condition, then there shouldn't be any hesitation to fullfill their request. I understand that it is, in a sense, taking another's life, but it's a) by their will and b) relieving them of their pain.
