Have you ever driven in slush? it doesn't make tracks because the snow under the tires basically melts the layer of snow over the top. The tracks you're looking at definitely happened before the heart was made, and a layer of snowfall fell over top of them.
My extra proof of this in the photo: Notice how there's no snow on the main road? No tracks? There's no where for the snow to go but out when tires drive over them.
