Press the Windows Key on your keyboard (the symbol) and hold it down, then press the "R" key while holding the Windows key down. A Run command should now come up. Type in "cmd" and Hit Enter. Now enter in the command I gave above, and hit enter.
You don't even really need cmd prompt to do this. The run command should send the arguments to sfc being that it's in the System32 folder so it acts like another environment variable. If you wanted you could run "sfc /scannow" in the Run command that comes up after the shortcut of {Windows Key} + R.
