When I talked to my boss I told him I wasn't certified and he said "I don't care."
But, I guess you would get paid more, and probably work in a nicer shop than I am. I mean, it's not bad at all! But I'm sure if I lived in a better location than where the "hillbillies" do, I'd make a little more dough and be in a little nicer facility. But I think it's nice as it is, so I don't mind. Nice to hear that you're all planning or have done similar things; please post your experiences here with us.
Also. All I did today was swap a screen out of a laptop and in to another one, installed Vista and updated it, cleared a Windows 98 password (I lol'ed when they brought it in...so old), and reset the 30-day activation on one of the PC's he built that are "for sale". He sets them up and lets people look at them but doesn't activate them till they buy.
