I am also new here and will honestly say that I checked the site out for the feather so it is clear that the method works to help gain quality of members but after checking everything out here it really can be supportive and I actually enjoy giving support to others and feel helpful...like a lot! =]
Also as others said just make sure you make HQ posts because others I have seen here are extremely LQ and they do not even deserve that feather. Just enjoy it here and hope you stay since I have heard that many just leave afterwards.
