Yes but the jokes on The Simpsons are very much directed at children aged around 8-13. Family Guy has jokes which are only suitable for people over the age of 18. (At least in the UK).
Here, The Simpsons is shown before 9pm, (The Watershed), whereas Family Guy is shown after 9pm.
Everybody may enjoy watching The Simpsons, whether they are adults, teenagers, or younger, but it is definitely targeted towards the younger watchers, (8-13).
