I've been through this when I was a little younger. It's actually a very hard and long thing to get through. Little things can remind you of the person and you do feel mixed emotions about it. Everyone has their own way of dealing with things, of course. But I got through it by finding someone else, it's easier said than done. Took me a few years to actually do that, before I met the other girl after my first I just tried my hardest to stay positive and think of things that had nothing to do with her.
I took up playing guitar, which was a huge help, you have no idea. Music was and still is a big deal in my life and has helped me through many things in my life. Maybe that is something you can try, play guitar, drums etc. Something to keep her off your mind. Whenever you something reminds you of her, or you have a feeling coming on, just go jam out to some music.
