I suggest since you're out of breath easily, to start with some light walking/jogging on the treadmill. I would start with 20 minutes of walking each day. Then after a week, 15 minutes of a light jog. Then keep building up until you can run without loosing breath. And as far as gaining weight, gain muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. xD
