Hello, I say take her out for ice cream. Take them to see a park and ducks. I am a single mother and many men never wanted to see my daughter, let alone spend real time with her. The mother is probably VERY afraid you will not bond with the child and this must be her first concern- that, and making sure you aren't sexually after her little girl. After that, she may lighten up and befriend you. Income is not important, nor age, but self esteem is, and you show that by being genuine, caring and real. The best date I had with my date, who was also younger than me, was to take $4.00 into 7-Eleven to buy "Dinner for two" then go watch sun down on the beach. We ended up with strawberry milk and two hotdogs and the best date of my life because it was fun and unconventional.
The lesson is this: focus on being a great and riving person. Nothing else will matter. If you can do that, she will love you back.
