It's good if people don't want to use a program to do it, But unlocker doesn't even have to be started, since it will run anyway, through your context menu. If you get that "Try Again" window when you try modifying the file in anyway. Then right click, Unlocker> Unlock all. You're done.
This program will even unlock some system files from being used, even though I don't know why you'd want to be doing that. It's not recommended either.
