This is also not such great advice, the first part, any way.

NEVER have a friend ask her if she likes you, she'll honestly
see this as childish, and this may throw her off.

Just suck up your best will power, and ask. Remember: The worst she
can say is "no" and if she's already talking to you I doubt that (even if she does) she'll make a big deal.
