is willing to switch out their disc drives just for that, especially
when there's these things called flash drives around.
Disc space is a limiting factor for developers, not exactly you personally.
Developers can render textures plenty times better than available on Xbox merely due to the mere availability. That and the handling capabilities of Xbox's processor to comprehend all that additional space that it has to be able to read.
In short, Xbox is too lazy to make these changes, at least with this generation. But I can guarantee you if Xbox wants to compete in the next console generation they better step up to the plate. Sony's already looking ahead, I really hope Microsoft is doing the same.
