Two issues to keep in mind: bi-polar is an over-diagnosed condition, and in genuine cases there are different degrees of seriousness.
This means that you need to see a respected psychotherapist (a specialist, not just any psychologist or a psychiatrist) who can be trusted to properly diagnose you. Only when you have been diagnosed can the degree of seriousness be determined, and subsequently the treatment planned.
Until you are properly diagnosed, be careful about starting any medication courses. Do some reasearch to identify the type of meditation which specifically treats bi-polar symptoms. Also, try to find an experienced community in your area who can assist you with regular meditation and social support.
