This was not something i expected from a member of HJT Squad. Anyways, System File Checker will only check for corrupted files that are vital for system performance and stability aka Windows folder. You need the installation CD/files where you installed your computers O/S from to perform the repair part as it will obtain the working files from there and replace the corrupted ones with those. I hope this cleared this up a bit.
