Does She Like Me?

Update:
Well after getting enough courage to ask her out she accepted but later on apologized that there was nobody to take her, so I asked her again and she again accepted, and once more she apologized that she can't make it because her friend is coming over.
So I finally sent her a text saying that I like her and want us to be more than friends, so she replied saying to stop making fun of her and she knows that I don't love her.
So I sent her another text and that is when she said that she though of me as here really close friend not more.
Now I feel like I am going to commit suicide because I can't think for a reason for which to live. Any suggestions.

Well there is this girl at school which I am deeply in love with and I am not sure if she likes me the way I do.
Here is the story:
Well at the beginning of the school year she broke of with her boyfriend, when she had a boyfriend we never spoke. After she broke up with him and since we are in the same class, I don't know how, but we started talking a little bit with each other. After about 2 months we started chatting regularly, and that is when I fell for her. So we started talking whenever we see each other. Now after the new year we became closer and I felt that she likes me back. Like a week ago I started sitting next to her in class and we usually open up conversations. We have a lot (and I do mean a lot) in common, like we like the same stuff. Now you might think if I am this close to her, why would I be asking if she likes me?
Well the problem is that this girl is kinda popular, she has a lot of friends.
So she treats everyone nicely and doesn't let you know if she likes you likes you or if she is just nice to you as much as everyone else.
She is not the hottest girl in school and I like her for her personality, though I admit I am not the hottest guy in the school though I am OK.
