Yes there is meant to be black around the edges but it can be removed if you don't like it. I had originally added some effects to it but I didn't think it suited so I removed the effects.

Not sure how long it took. I did it over the course of 3 days because I have been really busy with university so don't have much time to work on graphics. Sad
