Nobody knows what happens, and will likely never find out.
People will start these rumors that they 'almost died,' but all that can happen is that your brain temporarily shuts down due to pain or whatever it may be that caused it, but your heart is still beating, or opposite, and then you wake up and you 'saw God,' but really you just either want attention or believe that God saved you.

Electrons exist in multiple places, a.k.a a parallel universe, meaning that you could be living as a 16 year old when you are 15 because another universe is parallel with yourself but a year ahead, etc.
