I love halo 3, there is a reason to do win the game and try etc, COD rewards bad players and good players almost equally, so it's common sense it would attract a bigger crowd but that bigger crowd is also more casual, halo 3 has a very large dedicated following because it is a skill oriented game, so good players stay and tons of the bad ones move on to easy games like COD.
Sometimes I will play a few games of COD even though I hate it and usually get destroyed then switch back to halo 3, when I am back on halo 3 I check the people I played halo 3 stats and take comfort in the fact they can't get higher than a 44 in a real game
